Scholarship Information
General Information
As the TCAA scholarship fund grows, assistance will be made available to a wider range of applicants and in varying amounts. At present, funding is limited to a maximum of $500 when approved, to be applied to travel expense or tuition only.
Experience artisans who would like to improve their skills by participating in one-on-one mentoring with a TCAA member are encouraged to contact the member with whom they wish to study, to determine availability and cost.
Scholarship Criteria
Applicant must have financial need for a scholarship. Applicant must establish approximate cost of visit, travel expenses and lodging (if applicable) before applying for a scholarship.
As our funds are limited, we would like to ask those who can pay their own expenses to do so allowing us to fund scholarships for those who cannot afford the total cost to study with a member or attend a workshop.
Workshop Scholarships
Advanced workshops sponsored by the TCAA will be evaluated for scholarship eligibility on an individual basis at the time of development. Please note that scholarships are not available for 'basic' or 'beginner' workshops sponsored by the TCAA.
Important Notes!
- Scholarships are not required for acceptance to study with TCAA members.
- Arrangements regarding dates and cost are between the member and applicant.
- Applicant can only be awarded a maximum of two TCAA scholarships in their lifetime.
- Scholarships are not available for 'basic' or 'beginner' workshops sponsored by the TCAA.
- If approved, you agree to submit a written review of your experience to the TCAA office within 30 days of participating in the TCAA sponsored education program.
