2010 Exhibition and Sale Information

You are invited to come and celebrate with us our Western Heritage and Craftsmanship, and to help preserve a true American art form. Here is some information that will help you become a part of the efforts of the TCAA:

Hotel

The members of the TCAA and their friends will be staying at the Oklahoma City Marriot. Special rates are available if reservations are made by September 6, 2010. The hotel is located at 3232 Northwest Expressway. Telephone 1-800-228-9290 and request reservations in the “TCAA, Traditional Cowboy Arts Association” or “National Cowboy Museum” block of rooms. A special rate of $89 plus tax per night will be honored from  September 19 through September 27.

You are also invited to join TCAA members and friends at the hospitality room at the hotel that will be available at 5:00 pm throughout the weekend. This is a great place to get acquainted with the craftsmen. We look forward to seeing you there!

Museum

A workshop will be ongoing throughout the week, with the first public activity happening on Friday night (September 24) with a patron’s preview. Saturday morning will feature lectures by experts within the discipline of leatherwork/saddlemaking. Saturday (September 25) will be the banquet and sale.

The contact person for museum reservations for either Friday or Saturday night’s events is Edwina Johnston. Her e-mail address is: edwinaj@nationalcowboymuseum.org. You may phone her at 405-478-2250 extension 219.

If you are unable to attend the opening weekend events, there is a way to participate in the sale by proxy. Stephanie Leach at the Museum will be handling the proxy bids for this year’s exhibit and sale. Her phone number is 405-478-2250 extension 262. You may contact her via e-mail at sleach@nationalcowboymuseum.org. You will be sent a catalog and bid book as soon as they are ready so that you may see the work before the exhibit opening.
